Rideau Canoe Club Summer Camps

Canoe Kids: A week long day camp experience focused on all aspects of safe paddle sports. Campers (7-12 years old) will be introduced to canoeing, kayaking, safety, field sports, basic lifesaving, leadership games, and crafts.

Regatta Ready: Two weeks pre-competitive program for young paddlers (8 – 14 years old) who are looking for more of a challenge than Canoe Kids but who aren’t yet ready to commit to a competitive sprint racing program.

Atom and Peewee: Summer long introduction to competitive Sprint Canoe/Kayak program open to paddlers aged 8 - 11. It offers a group environment where children develop paddling skills in singles and team boats, including war canoe.

Bantam: Summer long competitive Sprint Canoe/Kayak program open to experienced and inexperienced paddlers aged 12 - 14. Children train in a group environment where they learn to paddle racing canoes and kayaks: singles, doubles and fours, as well as war canoe.

Activities:
We welcome everyone who enjoys paddling as a sport or a recreational activity. Come paddle in canoe, kayak, war canoe, and dragon boat. We always have a lot of fun!

Acadecamp Summer Camp

Again this summer, Académie de la Capitale is offering eight weeks of inquiry, discovery, and just plain fun, tout en français, to children aged 3-5 & 6-11. Themes are based on USC, Berkeley GEMS. For all ages, outdoor play is part of the daily routine. Your child will participate in a team sport as well as K2 Martial Arts Jiu-Jitsu lessons, weekly. We offer 3 camps for children ages 3 to 12 (Casa 3-5 year olds, Junior Elementary 6-8 year olds, and Senior Elementary 9-12 year olds). Our camps have excellent child to staff ratios, entertaining field trips, active games, crafts and plenty of outdoor fun in a safe environment.

Activities:
Elementary Programs include adventurous trips like: day camping, hiking, zip lining, fishing, Mont Cascades, wall climbing, golf, cave exploration, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, sports and French enrichment within the 9-12 camp.

Casa Program includes 3 optional trips per week, snacks, crafts, outdoor play, active games, park visits, splash zones, wading pool visits and much more.

Y Outdoor Day Camps provide the opportunity for children and youth ages 5 to 15 to engage in outdoor activities, discover nature and enjoy the natural environment while acquiring new skills, building self-confidence and establishing lasting friendships.
